About this role

AdventHealth Orlando is hiring a full-time Clinical Specialty Pharmacist at its Orlando, Florida campus to support safe and effective medication management across inpatient and decentralized pharmacy settings. ### What you'll do - Review and monitor medication orders and patient profiles to prevent, identify, and resolve drug-related problems, including pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments. - Participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds and manage transitions of care from admission through discharge and follow-up. - Educate and counsel patients, families, and healthcare team members on safe and effective medication use. - Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy technicians, interns, students, and residents. - Identify, report, and help resolve medication safety events, adverse drug reactions, and dispensing errors. - Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and performance metrics tracking including intervention rates and cost savings. ### What we're looking for - Active Florida Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license required. - Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required; PharmD preferred. - 1+ year of hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred. - Proficiency with electronic health records, pharmacy informatics systems, and medication automation. - Ability to compound, dispense, verify, and document medications across central, satellite, and IV areas. - Strong organizational, interpersonal, and clinical communication skills. ### What's included - Compensation range: approximately $104,819–$195,331 annually (based on posted hourly rate of $50.49–$93.91). - Medical, dental, and vision insurance effective day one. - Paid time off from day one and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development and continuing education support. - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being programs. ### About the practice AdventHealth Orlando is a large faith-based health system with a flagship campus in Orlando, Florida, offering a full continuum of inpatient and specialty care services.
