About this role

A Specialty Pharmacy Technician role at AdventHealth supports pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications at the Orlando, Florida campus. ### What you'll do - Prepare and dispense medications in alignment with pharmacy philosophy, policies, and procedures - Manage and implement medication safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance - Oversee adverse drug event reporting and evaluate significant medication variances - Lead review of medication safety practices and recommend process improvements - Act as a resource to pharmacy, risk management, quality, and performance improvement departments - Handle high-volume workload with minimal direct supervision across daily operations ### What we're looking for - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) — required - Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) — required - 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience in retail, mail-order, central fill, or hospital setting - Competency in medical terminology, medication names, and medication use - Proficiency with prescription-filling software and computer systems - Knowledge of compounding oral and topical medications ### What's included - Pay range: $20.38–$32.60/hr ($42,390–$67,808 annualized) - Medical, dental, and vision insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks 100% paid parental leave - CME and career development resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Orlando is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating one of the largest hospital campuses in the southeastern United States.
