About this role
AdventHealth Minneola is hiring a full-time Chemistry Supervisor for its clinical laboratory in Minneola, Florida, working Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM.
### What you'll do
- Lead and participate in laboratory performance improvement, quality control, and quality assurance activities across the chemistry department.
- Oversee staff scheduling, competency evaluations, performance input, and applicant interviewing.
- Perform and supervise pre- and post-analytical procedures including equipment maintenance, calibration, specimen processing, and result reporting.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and serve as a technical resource for complex test interpretation and abnormal result management.
- Provide orientation and training to new employees and medical technology students; support education to clinical staff as requested.
- Assist with Standard Operating Procedures, document control, and compliance with CLIA, federal, state, and accrediting body regulations.
### What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology field from an accredited institution (or CLIA 42CFR493.1489 equivalency).
- Minimum 3 years of clinical laboratory experience (required).
- At least 1 year of laboratory leadership experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage workflow, delegate tasks, and supervise technical staff with minimal oversight.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations, quality management, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems.
