About this role
AdventHealth Redmond is hiring a full-time Ultrasound Technologist for its imaging department in Rome, Georgia.
### What you'll do
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams — including abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, musculoskeletal, and pediatric studies — per provider orders and departmental protocols.
- Verify patient identity, obtain clinical history, and confirm exam appropriateness before each procedure.
- Position patients and operate ultrasound equipment to acquire optimal diagnostic images and Doppler data.
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS systems and complete technologist worksheets for radiologist review.
- Collaborate with radiologists and care teams while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and infection control.
- Take call rotation approximately once every 8–10 weeks on a day-shift schedule.
### What we're looking for
- Active registry in at least one of: RDMS (AB or OB/GYN or Pediatric), RVS, RVT, RT(VS)(ARRT), RT(BS)(ARRT), or RMSKS.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Solid working knowledge of ultrasound physics, cross-sectional and vascular anatomy, and Doppler techniques.
- Proficiency with PACS applications and EMR/data-entry systems; basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong patient communication skills across all age groups, from infant through geriatric.
- 1+ year of ultrasound experience preferred; high school diploma required, associate degree or technical/vocational training preferred.
