About this role
AdventHealth Orlando is hiring a full-time Specialty Pharmacy Liaison at its Orlando, Florida campus to support specialty pharmacy operations and improve patient medication outcomes.
### What you'll do
- Process, fill, and coordinate delivery of specialty medications for patients across referral sources
- Manage referrals, verify patient demographics and insurance coverage, and initiate prior authorization requests
- Facilitate patient assistance programs, co-pay assistance, appeals, and peer reviews
- Monitor patient medication adherence and implement interventions as needed
- Develop and present content on clinical pharmacy services to provider offices
- Track and report metrics related to prior authorization approvals and patient funding success rates
### What we're looking for
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) license — required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification — required
- Associate's degree, or High School diploma with 5+ years of pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with prescription-filling software and third-party claims processing
- Working knowledge of Medicare Part B and Part D billing and major insurance carrier reimbursement guidelines
- Prior experience with specialty prescription processing, prior authorizations, and patient assistance programs preferred

### About the practice
AdventHealth Orlando is a major faith-based health system serving Central Florida from its flagship campus at 601 E. Rollins St. The specialty pharmacy team operates Monday–Friday, 8 AM–8 PM, with occasional weekend coverage, supporting a broad patient population requiring complex medication management.
