About this role
AdventHealth Winter Garden is hiring a full-time Charge Nurse for its Operating Room at the Winter Garden Campus in Winter Garden, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Manage the daily surgery schedule, including room assignments, staffing, and equipment coordination.
- Collaborate with the Anesthesia Department to ensure appropriate staffing throughout the day as the schedule evolves.
- Coordinate surgical patient care with ancillary departments including ACC, PACU, inpatient units, Radiology, and Cath Lab.
- Work with the scheduling department to organize the surgery schedule for the following business day.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for surgeons, anesthesia staff, and associates.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and infection prevention protocols.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of surgery-related nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across interdisciplinary teams.
