About this role

AdventHealth Port Charlotte is hiring a PRN Radiologic Technologist to join its imaging team at its hospital campus in Port Charlotte, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform radiographic imaging procedures, positioning patients and selecting technical factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images safely and efficiently. - Operate and maneuver radiographic equipment for ER, OR, and fluoroscopic procedures within the technologist's scope of practice. - Monitor patient condition, assist with transport, and apply proper infection control techniques throughout each encounter. - Apply radiation safety principles — time, distance, and shielding — to maintain ALARA exposure levels for patients and staff. - Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and equipment-ready; report low inventory to appropriate personnel and complete routine safety checks. ### What we're looking for - Active ARRT registration in Radiography — RT(R)(ARRT) required. - Current BLS/CPR certification required. - Working knowledge of ER, OR, and fluoroscopic imaging procedures and diagnostic radiological positioning. - Ability to determine appropriate technical factors and evaluate image quality. - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. - Minimum 1 year of radiologic technology experience preferred. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $23.71 – $44.09 (PRN rate; no benefits package typical for PRN status). - PRN day-shift schedule providing flexible, as-needed hours. ### About the practice AdventHealth Port Charlotte is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and care sites across multiple states.
