About this role
A Patient Care Technician role on the night shift at AdventHealth Ocala, a faith-based acute care hospital in Ocala, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform direct patient care treatments per policy, with attention to patient age, mobility, acuity, and cultural needs
- Assist in delivering bedside care under the direction of a registered nurse, including obtaining nursing histories and reporting abnormalities
- Document and report all procedures accurately in accordance with department policy
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and enforce safety regulations including isolation protocols and PPE use
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies and participate in performance improvement initiatives
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Active BLS/CPR certification (required)
- One of the following active credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required)
- Prior PCT experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
- Previous experience as a unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent clinical role (preferred)
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and skill development
