OC- Patient Care Tech

A Patient Care Technician role at AdventHealth Ocala supports bedside care on an inpatient unit under registered nurse direction in Ocala, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform treatments per policy, providing age- and acuity-appropriate patient care - Assist in identifying patient needs and report abnormalities to the supervising RN - Document and report all procedures in accordance with department policy - Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow prescribed isolation and hand-hygiene protocols - Function appropriately during clinical emergencies as part of the care team - Participate in performance improvement activities and support quality standards ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT certification (one required) - 1+ year of PCT or equivalent bedside patient care experience (preferred) - Prior experience in acute care, unit secretary, or monitor technician roles (preferred) - Effective communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hour ($33,010–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Ocala is a full-service acute care hospital located at 1500 SW 1st Ave in Ocala, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system.
