About this role
AdventHealth Hendersonville is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist I for a midshift weekday schedule (3p–11p, Monday–Friday) at its 100 Hospital Drive campus in Hendersonville, NC.
### What you'll do
- Deliver respiratory and oxygen therapies across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations, recommending the most efficient delivery method per protocol.
- Initiate, maintain, transport, and monitor mechanical ventilators using basic conventional ventilation modes per policy.
- Obtain, analyze, and report arterial blood gas and co-oximetry findings; perform quality controls as required.
- Perform airway maintenance including manual resuscitation, oral/nasopharyngeal airway insertion, and suctioning.
- Respond immediately to Code Blue emergencies and provide AHA-compliant CPR.
- Document and charge for all procedures accurately, conferring with the interdisciplinary team to ensure cost- and time-efficient care.
### What we're looking for
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science (required).
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license (required).
- BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association (required).
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (preferred; must be maintained as a condition of continued employment).
- 1+ year of critical care experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to care for patients across all age groups including neonates and geriatrics.
