About this role

AdventHealth Altamonte Springs is hiring a PRN night-shift Emergency Department RN at its Altamonte Springs, Florida campus. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors on each ED visit. - Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans in response to patient status and outcomes. - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies. - Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, efficient patient care. - Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilization interventions and accurate, timely medical record documentation. ### What we're looking for - Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license — required. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - Current BLS/CPR certification required. - Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred. - EKG interpretation competency per unit requirements. - TNCC, PEARS, or other ED-relevant certifications preferred. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $31.53 – $52.24 (annualized equivalent approximately $65,500 – $108,700 at full-time hours). - PRN scheduling flexibility on night shift. - Access to AdventHealth's professional development and performance improvement programs. ### About the practice AdventHealth Altamonte Springs is a full-service acute care hospital located in Altamonte Springs, Florida, operating as part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health systems in the United States.
