About this role
An Occupational Therapist is needed at AdventHealth East Orlando, a hospital-based rehabilitation setting in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations using evidence-based techniques and standardized assessment tools.
- Establish, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans including goal setting, treatment activities, and frequency of care.
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR) using measurable, objective terminology.
- Provide patient and caregiver education, including discharge planning and home recommendations.
- Oversee care delivered by certified occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides per regulatory and practice standards.
- Support departmental quality initiatives and participate in community education events and marketing outreach.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Occupational Therapist license (OT) or Temporary OT license required.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy preferred; education must meet state licensing body requirements.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records systems.
- Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- New graduates are welcome; no prior work experience required.

- Pay range: $31.55–$58.69/hour ($65,624–$122,075 annualized).

AdventHealth East Orlando is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network operating across multiple states. The East Orlando campus at 7727 Lake Underhill Rd serves a diverse patient population with a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. The schedule for this role is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 9:00 AM–7:30 PM.
