About this role
AdventHealth Castle Rock is hiring a contract Emergency Department RN for night shifts (36 hrs/week) at their Castle Rock, Colorado facility.
### What you'll do
- Conduct thorough, ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans aligned with interdisciplinary goals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and families to facilitate timely patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans based on assessed learning needs.
- Ensure safe handoff communication and documentation at all transition points.
- Follow CDC isolation guidelines, appropriate PPE use, and hand hygiene policy to maintain a safe care environment.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- PALS and TNCC certifications preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and abstract reasoning skills for patient assessment and care plan revision.
### What's included
- Contract rate of $70/hour (approximately $145,600 annualized at 36 hrs/week).
- Night shift schedule providing schedule consistency.
