AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) for its surgical services team in Daytona Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Set up operating suites using physician preference cards and update cards as directed.
- Select appropriate surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies based on surgeon preferences.
- Achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis using appropriate surgical techniques.
- Assist with body plane closures, wound dressing applications, and drainage system placement.
- Provide operative site visualization through tissue manipulation, retraction, sponging, suction, and irrigation.
- Anticipate surgeon needs throughout procedures to support efficient, safe surgical care.
### What we're looking for
- Active CSFA, CSA, or ABSA Surgical Assistant (SA) certification required.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Associate degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of job-related surgical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies, and operative procedures.

- Pay range: $28.68–$53.35/hour ($59,654–$110,968 annualized).
