About this role

AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) for its surgical services team in Daytona Beach, Florida. ### What you'll do - Set up operating suites using physician preference cards and update cards as directed. - Select appropriate surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies based on surgeon preferences. - Achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis using appropriate surgical techniques. - Assist with body plane closures, wound dressing applications, and drainage system placement. - Provide operative site visualization through tissue manipulation, retraction, sponging, suction, and irrigation. - Anticipate surgeon needs throughout procedures to support efficient, safe surgical care. ### What we're looking for - Active CSFA, CSA, or ABSA Surgical Assistant (SA) certification required. - BLS/CPR certification required. - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred. - Associate degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required. - Minimum 2 years of job-related surgical experience preferred. - Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies, and operative procedures. ### What's included - $15,000 sign-on bonus (eligibility requirements apply). - $3,000 relocation assistance (eligibility requirements apply). - Pay range: $28.68–$53.35/hour ($59,654–$110,968 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one. - Paid time off from day one; 4 weeks 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. ### About the practice AdventHealth Daytona Beach is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system located at 301 Memorial Medical Pkwy in Daytona Beach, Florida.
