About this role
An RN Database Coordinator for Surgical Services at AdventHealth Riverview supports perioperative operations through clinical systems management, data coordination, and process improvement at the Riverview, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Coordinate post-implementation evaluation of process, system, and device strategies for Surgical Services and develop solutions to improve departmental efficiency.
- Perform surgical case management, ensuring necessary equipment, personnel, and supplies are available for each case.
- Build and maintain surgeon preference cards, including product updates for open and hold bins.
- Serve as the consultant and liaison for computer projects involving Surgical Services and information management.
- Audit and correct departmental charges across Surgery, Anesthesia, PACU, Endoscopy, Outpatient Surgical Services, and Central Sterile in collaboration with Clinical Auditors.
- Develop departmental reports to support process improvement, budgetary tracking, and procedural recommendations.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of strong clinical experience; 2+ years in Surgical Services preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Proficiency in EPIC, Microsoft Word, and Excel; experience with healthcare software systems desirable.
- Knowledge of AORN standards and perioperative nursing care.
