AdventHealth Heart of Florida is hiring a full-time Advanced Registered Respiratory Therapist (nights) at its Davenport, Florida hospital.
### What you'll do
- Manage airways through manual resuscitation, suctioning, intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy tube changes
- Initiate, operate, and manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, including High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation, with transport and monitoring
- Deliver inhaled medications, bronchial hygiene therapy, and lung expansion therapy to patients across acuity levels
- Respond to Code Blue emergencies, providing CPR per American Heart Association guidelines
- Perform hemodynamic procedures including arterial cannulation, pulmonary artery catheter insertion, and cardiac output profiling
- Document and charge for all procedures accurately in the EMR; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on patient care plans
### What we're looking for
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science (required); Bachelor's preferred
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license and NBRC RRT credential (both required)
- BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association (required)
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
- Proficiency in ABG puncture, arterial cannulation using sterile technique, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Airway management skills including endotracheal intubation; experience with ER or neonatal/pediatric populations is a plus
