About this role
AdventHealth Central Texas is hiring a Seasonal Contract RN for its Emergency Department in Killeen, TX at $75/hour on a PRN/day-shift basis.
### What you'll do
- Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient conditions and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications accurately, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions as needed.
- Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, quality patient care per policy.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and procedures to support understanding and compliance.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital nursing experience.
- Proficiency with ED equipment: IV insertion, central lines, chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, Foley, NG tubes, and pulse oximetry.
- Experience with electronic medical records and automated dispensing systems (Pyxis).
- BLS/CPR certification required; TNCC, ENPC, or PEARS preferred.

- Contract rate of $75/hour for PRN day-shift scheduling.
- Facility pay range of $33.65–$62.59/hour noted for reference.
- Additional licensure and certification support may be available per unit credential grid.
