About this role
AdventHealth Tampa is hiring a PRN Neurodiagnostic Technologist I to support its Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and neurodiagnostic services in Tampa, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Monitor patients undergoing continuous EEG (cEEG) recording for safety, either in-room or via remote video monitoring
- Identify clinical seizures and paroxysmal events, alerting nursing and technologist staff in real time
- Connect and disconnect EEG electrodes from patients following NTC guidelines; clean electrodes per NTC protocol
- Reconcile physician orders to correct exam protocols and escalate discrepancies to appropriate clinical staff
- Communicate with patients and bedside staff to document events and observations accurately
- Maintain supply stock on the EMU floor and procedure rooms, restocking as needed to ensure a clean, orderly environment
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required)
- Proficiency with EEG monitoring systems and camera controls
- Strong organizational, verbal communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal clinical instructions
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
