About this role
AdventHealth Zephyrhills is hiring a full-time PBX Switchboard/Security Dispatcher to serve as a central communications and security coordination hub at its hospital campus in Zephyrhills, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Answer, triage, and route all incoming calls to appropriate extensions in a timely manner
- Announce overhead pages and emergency codes; contact hospital staff and leadership during significant events using phone and mass notification systems
- Determine call priority levels and enter data into a computer-aided dispatch system for radio dispatch
- Monitor CCTV systems, observe in-progress situations, and relay real-time information to field responders
- Manage facility access control, including adding and removing campus-wide badge access for staff
- Document security activities covering routine patrols, postings, and calls for service; assess alarms and direct response in emergency and non-emergency situations
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in security or law enforcement dispatch, PBX, or multi-line phone operations in a large business or hospital setting
- Typing speed of at least 27 wpm net; proficiency with Microsoft Office and multiple computer systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear, concise speaking voice
- Ability to multitask across multiple platforms and respond quickly to emergency code situations
- Knowledge of security systems (CCTV, Access Control, CAD, HICS/NIMS) and IAHSS certification are preferred

AdventHealth Zephyrhills is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, nonprofit health network operating across multiple states. The Zephyrhills campus provides acute care services to the greater Pasco County community. This role operates on a 3×12 night schedule (6 pm–6 am) with every other weekend required.
