About this role
AdventHealth Porter is hiring a full-time PACU RN for its hospital campus in Denver, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, evaluating physiological, psychological, and developmental status across the post-anesthesia continuum.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and established standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, post-procedure care, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate seamless care transitions.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions and maintaining accurate, timely documentation in the medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to revise care plans based on patient outcomes.
- EKG competency and proficiency with Windows-based clinical documentation systems.
