About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a part-time CT Technologist at its La Grange, Illinois hospital campus, serving a faith-based health system committed to whole-person care.
### What you'll do
- Perform high-quality CT examinations per provider orders and departmental protocols, optimizing image quality for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare and administer IV contrast material, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and position patients using immobilization devices with strict ALARA radiation safety principles.
- Review patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications prior to scanning.
- Operate CT scanners, injectors, 3D workstations, and monitors safely, adapting protocols for patients across all age groups.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
- Collaborate with radiologists and care team members to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
### What we're looking for
- ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography — RT(R)(ARRT) required.
- ARRT Computed Tomography certification (ARRT-CT) preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1+ year of radiology experience with completion of a CT training program preferred.
- Proficiency with PACS, cross-sectional anatomy, cardiac and vascular imaging, and basic IV placement.
