About this role
AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the night shift (7P–7A) in Ocala, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform venous access procedures within RN scope, maintaining proper technique and patient safety throughout
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients requiring venous access and infusion therapy
- Monitor nursing staff performance, deliver feedback, conduct appraisals, and execute improvement plans to uphold clinical and professional standards
- Mentor and develop staff by identifying training needs, organizing educational programs, and supporting career progression
- Lead unit-level quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency
- Resolve staff conflicts promptly using mediation techniques to sustain a cohesive, positive work environment
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required or active enrollment in a BSN program
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Minimum 1 year of charge nurse or relevant leadership experience in an acute care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records and basic computer applications
