About this role

AdventHealth Lake Wales is hiring a PRN Night Shift Advanced Registered Respiratory Therapist at its acute-care hospital in Lake Wales, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform airway maintenance procedures including intubation, extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy tube changes. - Initiate, manage, and wean patients from invasive, non-invasive, and advanced mechanical ventilation modes including High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation. - Deliver inhaled medications, bronchial hygiene therapy, lung expansion therapy, and administer inhaled vasodilators and nebulized opioids. - Respond immediately to Code Blue events, providing CPR per American Heart Association guidelines. - Perform hemodynamic procedures including arterial cannulation, pulmonary artery catheter insertion, and cardiac output profiling. - Document and charge for all procedures accurately in the EMR and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on patient care plans. ### What we're looking for - Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science (Bachelor's preferred). - State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license or NBRC RRT credential — required. - Current BLS/CPR certification per American Heart Association standards. - Minimum 1 year of critical care respiratory therapy experience. - Proficiency in ABG puncture, arterial cannulation, and hemodynamic monitoring. - Preferred: experience with neonatal/pediatric patients, Emergency Department settings, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management. ### What's included - Pay range: $25.16 – $46.80/hour (approximately $52,333 – $97,344 annualized). - PRN night-shift schedule offering flexible availability. ### About the practice AdventHealth Lake Wales is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network with facilities across multiple states.
