About this role

AdventHealth South Overland Park is hiring a PRN Nurse Technician to support patient care across all inpatient units on the night shift in Overland Park, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Assist registered nurses in direct patient care tasks including vital signs, accuchecks, hemoccults, and input/output documentation. - Perform treatments and personal care appropriate to patient age, mobility, acuity, and cultural background. - Conduct purposeful hourly rounding and report clinical observations and abnormalities to the supervising RN. - Remove peripheral IV catheters, empty Foley bags, JP drains, and hemovacs per policy. - Enforce infection control standards including CDC isolation guidelines, PPE use, and hand hygiene compliance. - Float between units and adapt to varying care settings as needed. ### What we're looking for - Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of first-semester Nursing Fundamentals, OR completion of an accredited nursing program within the past year without yet obtaining RN/LPN licensure. - High school diploma or equivalent (required). - Active BLS/CPR certification (required). - 1+ year of nursing assistant experience (preferred). - Demonstrated ability to deliver age-appropriate care across geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric populations. - Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills with basic computer proficiency. ### What's included - Pay range: $16.26–$26.02/hour (PRN rate). - Night shift differential applicable. - Flexible scheduling with weekend and holiday rotation. ### About the practice AdventHealth South Overland Park is a full-service acute care hospital located in Overland Park, Kansas, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health systems in the United States.
