Respiratory Therapist III

AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist III (night shift) at its hospital campus in Daytona Beach, Florida. ### What you'll do - Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, determining ventilator mode and settings and reassessing patient-ventilator interface every four hours - Draw and analyze arterial blood gases, place arterial lines, and adjust respiratory management based on results - Respond to emergencies by establishing and maintaining airways and performing CPR - Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostics including cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function testing, holter monitor setup, ECGs, and EEGs - Support advanced procedures such as bedside bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, navigational bronchoscopy, and bronchothermaplasty - Serve as a clinical resource and supervisor for cardiopulmonary staff and student preceptorship programs ### What we're looking for - Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program (Associate degree required) - State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or NBRC RRT credential required - Experience in an acute care environment with blood gas laboratory competency - Demonstrated patient care skills across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations - Proficiency in intubation, airway management, ventilator management, and arterial line placement preferred - Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to prioritize and respond to immediate and potential patient needs ### What's included - Pay range: $26.08–$48.50/hr ($54,246–$100,880 annualized) - $15,000 sign-on bonus with 2-year commitment - $5,000 relocation bonus for qualified candidates - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one plus 4 weeks fully paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Daytona Beach is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
