About this role
AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a part-time Endoscopy RN for its hospital campus in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors prior to and during endoscopy procedures.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and unit standards.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring patients for adverse reactions throughout procedures.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, medications, and post-procedure self-care to support compliance and recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and ancillary staff to coordinate safe, efficient patient throughput in the endoscopy suite.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Kansas (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to apply abstract clinical reasoning.
- Proficiency in English (read, verbal, and written) and basic computer navigation skills.
