About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time RN Supervisor for its Cardiology/Cardiac Cath Lab department at AdventHealth GlenOaks in Glendale Heights, Illinois.
### What you'll do
- Provide direct patient care in Cardiac Cath Lab suites, Electrophysiology suite, and Cath Prep & Recovery Unit alongside cardiologists, EP physicians, and anesthesia teams.
- Organize, staff, supervise, and evaluate daily Cardiac Cath Lab operations, including scheduling, timesheet corrections, and patient flow coordination.
- Read and interpret patient hemodynamics during procedures and report changes directly to the cardiologist.
- Manage department supplies and equipment, including product ordering, evaluation, and service-line maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Director/Manager of Cardiovascular Services to address needs across both the EP lab and Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Serve as preceptor and role model for staff, providing patient and family education before, during, and after procedures.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and current BLS certification required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required.
- Demonstrated EKG competency and knowledge of cardiac anatomy, including electrophysiology and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Knowledge of critical care medications and radiation safety principles (ALARA).
- CCNS certification preferred; experience scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures preferred.
