About this role

A contract Registered Respiratory Therapist is needed for night shifts (36 hrs/week) at AdventHealth Redmond in Rome, Georgia. ### What you'll do - Deliver routine and continuous respiratory treatments including aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, lung expansion therapy, and bronchial hygiene - Initiate, manage, and wean patients from mechanical ventilation across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations - Draw and analyze arterial and capillary blood gases, place arterial lines, and recommend adjustments to respiratory management - Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment; reassess ventilator interface at minimum every four hours and respond to alarms - Recommend changes to the respiratory plan of care based on pulse oximetry, peak flow, chest X-ray, and lab data - Document clinical findings and adjust therapies in accordance with established protocols and medical necessity criteria ### What we're looking for - Active RRT or CRT credential (NBRC or state-issued) required - Associate degree from an approved respiratory care program required - BLS/CPR certification required - Competency across all patient populations: neonatal through geriatric - 1+ year of critical care respiratory experience preferred - Intubation, airway management, and arterial line placement skills preferred; Neonatal Med and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications preferred ### What's included - Contract rate of $69.03/hour (night shift, 36 hrs/week) - PRN/contract engagement with consistent night-shift scheduling ### About the practice AdventHealth Redmond is a full-service acute care hospital located in Rome, Georgia, operating as part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health systems in the United States.
