About this role

AdventHealth Apopka is hiring a full-time PCU Registered Nurse for night shifts at its inpatient progressive care unit in Apopka, Florida. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive physiological, psychological, and sociocultural patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and adjusting interventions as needed. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care to support understanding and compliance. - Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments to coordinate care and maintain effective communication across the team. - Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient information, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. - Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions and supervising delegated care activities. ### What we're looking for - Active Florida RN license (required). - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - Current BLS/CPR certification required. - 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred. - EKG competency per unit requirements. - Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills with ability to revise care plans based on patient outcomes. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $31.53–$52.24 (approximately $65,582–$108,659 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off from day one plus 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - CME and career development resources. - Mental health support and whole-person well-being programs. ### About the practice AdventHealth Apopka is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network operating across multiple states.
