RN Charge Nurse

AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is hiring a full-time RN Charge Nurse for night shift at its hospital in Wesley Chapel, Florida. ### What you'll do - Coordinate patient care across PACU, inpatient units, Radiology, and anesthesia, with a focus on the endoscopy schedule. - Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized care plans based on patient assessments, medical orders, and ongoing outcomes. - Supervise nursing assistants and support staff, oversee daily staffing and equipment availability, and complete employee performance appraisals on time. - Serve as a clinical resource for staff on procedures, equipment, and patient care standards; facilitate communication across the healthcare team. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with the nurse leader to establish and uphold department policies and procedures. - Respond promptly to emergencies, attend and/or lead codes per policy, and educate patients and families on care plans and self-management. ### What we're looking for - Current RN licensure in Florida with broad clinical nursing knowledge and demonstrated charge or supervisory experience. - Ability to apply abstract clinical reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise care plans based on outcomes. - Strong fiscal awareness — ability to collaborate with leadership on department budget, staffing hours, overtime, and supply utilization. - Proficiency navigating Microsoft Windows-based programs; Cerner experience preferred. - Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written); additional languages a plus. - Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage conflict, and support staff development and mandatory education compliance. ### What's included - Medical, dental, and vision insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One; 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support, including mental health resources and pet benefits. ### About the practice AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is a faith-based acute care hospital located at 2600 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544, part of the AdventHealth system.
