About this role
AdventHealth Hendersonville is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapy Department Manager to lead its respiratory care department at its hospital campus in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
### What you'll do
- Plan and organize all Respiratory Therapy Department activities, including equipment evaluation, staffing requirements, and continuing education programs.
- Supervise department personnel — hiring, evaluating, training, and ensuring technical staff efficiency.
- Administer therapeutic gases, bronchodilators, and humidified gases; manage IPPB, EzPAP, CPAP, BiPAP, and continuous ventilatory support.
- Perform pulmonary function testing, pulse oximetry, bronchial drainage, and chest physiotherapy per department protocols.
- Participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and provide airway care, including tracheobronchial aspiration.
- Document all procedures, medication tracking, and billing for RT services in the EMR.
### What we're looking for
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license — state credential required; active NBRC credential preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of respiratory care clinical experience.
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory care leadership experience.
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or Healthcare Administration.
- BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards; strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
