About this role

AdventHealth Hendersonville is hiring a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist I (2nd Shift) at its hospital campus in Hendersonville, North Carolina. ### What you'll do - Perform laboratory testing, procedures, and processes within assigned department on a Monday–Friday 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. schedule with rotating holidays - Participate in laboratory and hospital performance improvement activities - Evaluate new laboratory techniques and procedures, assisting with data collection and special projects - Maintain laboratory equipment and work spaces through routine cleaning and disinfection - Support workflow and provide education to clinical staff as needed - Follow all safety policies including PPE use, hand hygiene, and hazardous chemical and waste handling ### What we're looking for - Associate's degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution - Alternatively, completion of a 50-week official U.S. military medical laboratory procedures training course with MOS as Medical Laboratory Specialist - Technical aptitude for laboratory testing, procedures, and processes - Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and direct workflow with minimal supervision - Competency in equipment maintenance, record keeping, and quality assessment activities - Ability to train and educate new laboratory staff ### What's included - Pay range: $22.75–$42.31/hour ($47,320–$88,005 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and continuing education resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Hendersonville is a faith-based, community hospital located at 100 Hospital Drive in Hendersonville, NC, serving the western North Carolina region.
