Patient Care Technician Med/Surg

AdventHealth Riverview is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician for its Med/Surg unit in Riverview, Florida. ### What you'll do - Deliver direct, hands-on patient care under the direction of the nursing team on a busy Med/Surg floor - Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, EKG monitoring, and basic arrhythmia identification - Document patient information accurately using computerized systems such as Cerner - Float between assignments as needed to ensure comprehensive coverage across the unit - Move and lift patients and equipment safely in compliance with facility protocols - Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and unit-specific competency standards ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Current BLS/CPR certification (required) - Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer skills - Ability to continuously prioritize multiple duties in an acute care environment - CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CHUC certification (preferred) - 1+ year of PCT experience and prior hospital or nursing home exposure (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hr (~$33,010–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Riverview is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network operating across multiple states.
