About this role
AdventHealth is seeking a full-time Night Shift Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join its EMS team at the Wesley Chapel, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Operate emergency vehicles safely in variable weather and emergent conditions per established safety standards
- Perform BLS patient care and maintain accurate, complete patient care records within the state-required 24-hour window
- Communicate patient conditions, findings, and arrival times to dispatch, receiving nurses, paramedics, and facility staff
- Assist crew with setup and preparation of ventilators, cardiac monitors, IV lines, and pumps
- Support patient mobilization, ambulation, and transport while monitoring conditions and aggregating data
- Maintain unit equipment between transports and report vehicle damage or issues to the supervisor immediately
### What we're looking for
- Active EMT or EMT-Advanced certification (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Valid Driver's License or Commercial Driver's License (required)
- CEVO or EVOC certification (preferred)
- 1+ year of emergency vehicle operations experience (preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited EMT program; Associate degree in a health-related field preferred
