About this role
AdventHealth Tampa is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at its Tampa, Florida campus, with day-shift scheduling and on-call requirements of two shifts per four-week period.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established critical care protocols and advanced clinical skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, comprehensive patient care.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff while participating in quality improvement initiatives.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Critical care clinical skills appropriate to PACU patient population (required).
- EKG knowledge aligned with patient population requirements (required).
- Experience with Cerner or EPIC electronic medical records (preferred).
