About this role
AdventHealth Tampa is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its PACU unit at its Tampa, Florida hospital campus.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized post-anesthesia care plans based on findings and medical diagnoses
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans to achieve optimal outcomes
- Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, continuous patient care
- Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in real time within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Florida
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Critical care clinical skills appropriate to the PACU patient population
- EKG knowledge consistent with unit requirements
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and EMR documentation skills; Cerner or EPIC experience preferred
