About this role
A full-time PACU Registered Nurse at AdventHealth Tampa provides post-anesthesia recovery care on a day-shift schedule at the 3100 E Fletcher Ave campus in Tampa, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on findings and medical diagnoses
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans to achieve optimal outcomes
- Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and fulfill 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license [Required]
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Required]
- Critical care skills appropriate to the PACU patient population, including EKG knowledge
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and EMR documentation skills
- Experience in a specialty clinical area preferred; familiarity with Cerner or EPIC a plus
