About this role

A Telemetry Monitor Technician (night shift) position is open at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Monitor cardiac telemetry displays continuously, recognizing and documenting normal and abnormal EKG patterns - Notify nursing staff promptly of any rhythm abnormalities or changes in patient status - Maintain monitor alarms per policy, verify audibility each shift, and troubleshoot equipment as needed - Document accurately in the telemetry logbook and maintain printouts during cardiac events - Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status changes - Support departmental quality standards and participate in performance improvement activities ### What we're looking for - Monitor technician experience or successful completion of the AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program (or equivalent) - Basic EKG/arrhythmia identification course completion (or equivalent knowledge) - BLS/CPR certification required - Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency - Ability to prioritize multiple duties in a fast-paced inpatient environment - High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 1+ year of monitor tech experience preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $17.17–$27.46/hour (~$35,714–$57,117 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and ongoing education support ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is a faith-based health system serving the greater Chicago area with a mission centered on whole-person care.
