About this role
AdventHealth Orlando is hiring a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist at its Orlando, Florida campus to deliver respiratory care across neonatal through geriatric patient populations.
### What you'll do
- Initiate, maintain, transport, and monitor mechanical ventilators using conventional ventilation modes per policy
- Perform airway maintenance including manual resuscitator use, oral/nasal pharyngeal airway insertion, and airway suctioning
- Obtain, analyze, and report arterial blood gas and co-oximetry findings; perform quality controls as required
- Respond to Code Blue emergencies and deliver CPR per American Heart Association standards
- Assess patient status using chart review, protocols, and multidisciplinary team consultation to adjust therapy plans
- Document and charge procedures accurately in compliance with hospital policies and standard precautions
### What we're looking for
- Active State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license or NBRC RRT credential (required)
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- Demonstrated patient care skills across all age groups from neonatal to geriatric
- At least 1 year of critical care experience (preferred)
