About this role
AdventHealth Porter is hiring a full-time ER Charge Nurse for the night shift at its Denver, Colorado emergency department.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Supervise and delegate care activities across the ER nursing team to ensure quality and efficiency on nights.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, overtime, and supply utilization in collaboration with the department director.
- Lead or respond to code situations promptly, providing interventions to stabilize patients.
### What we're looking for
- Current RN license in Colorado (or eligibility).
- Demonstrated supervision experience in an emergency or acute care setting.
- Strong abstract reasoning skills for real-time patient assessment and care plan revision.
- Ability to manage human resources functions including performance appraisals, conflict resolution, and progressive discipline.
- Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems; Cerner experience preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English; additional languages a plus.
