About this role
AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its ICU and PCU units at its Orlando, Florida campus on the day shift.
### What you'll do
- Supervise ICU and PCU nursing staff performance, deliver feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical and professional standards.
- Identify training needs, organize educational programs, and mentor staff to support skill development and career progression.
- Lead unit-level quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Manage daily unit operations, including productivity tracking and financial oversight of healthcare delivery.
- Mediate staff conflicts promptly to sustain a cohesive, positive work environment.
- Communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience (preferred).
- At least 1 year of charge nurse or relevant leadership experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records and strong written and verbal communication skills.
