About this role
AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a part-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its ICU and PCU units in Orlando, Florida, working day shifts with rotating weekends.
### What you'll do
- Monitor nursing staff performance, deliver feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical and professional standards.
- Identify training needs, organize educational programs, and mentor staff to support skill development and career progression.
- Lead unit-level quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Resolve staff conflicts promptly using mediation techniques to sustain a cohesive, positive work environment.
- Communicate with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
- Precept and mentor new staff through hands-on training and structured professional development.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (both required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- 1+ year of charge nurse or nursing leadership experience (preferred).
- 1+ year of acute care nursing experience (preferred).
- Strong critical thinking, EHR proficiency, and demonstrated leadership in a clinical setting.
