About this role

AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a part-time Assistant Nurse Manager for the ICU and PCU on night shift (two 12-hour shifts per week) in Orlando, Florida. ### What you'll do - Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, provide coaching, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans across the ICU and PCU. - Identify training needs, organize educational programs, and mentor staff to support clinical skill development and career growth. - Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing unit data, identifying gaps, and executing strategies to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. - Resolve staff conflicts using mediation techniques to sustain a cohesive, professional work environment. - Communicate with patients, families, and the broader care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care. - Manage unit-level business operations including financial practices and productivity monitoring. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required). - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). - BLS and ACLS certifications (required). - Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience (preferred). - Minimum 1 year of charge nurse or relevant leadership experience (preferred). - Proficiency with Electronic Health Records and strong written and verbal communication skills. ### What's included - Hourly pay range of $33.99–$63.22 (approximately $70,699–$131,498 annualized at full-time equivalent). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off beginning Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Lake Nona is part of a comprehensive care network in the growing Lake Nona community of Orlando, offering emergency services, urgent care, primary care, specialty medicine, imaging, orthopedics, sports medicine, and rehabilitation.
