About this role
AdventHealth Parker is hiring a full-time Cook to support patient, retail, and catering food service operations at its hospital campus in Parker, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals following culinary production records, including short-order and batch cooking to meet quality and temperature standards.
- Execute advance prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods and high-volume production needs.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment, recording temperatures and ensuring all equipment and surfaces meet health and regulatory standards.
- Manage inventory by sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to support food safety and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with managers and team members to communicate operational needs and support efficient food service delivery.
### What we're looking for
- At least 1 year of foodservice experience in a high-volume culinary production setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of cooking methods, recipe execution, and sanitary food-handling procedures.
- Familiarity with therapeutic diet preparation (preferred).
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and make decisions under pressure.
- Hospital or nursing home foodservice background (preferred).
