Medical Laboratory Scientist II PART TIME NIGHTS

AdventHealth is hiring a part-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II for night shifts at the Ginsburg Tower campus in Orlando, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, function checks, inventory control, specimen collection, and biological specimen processing - Execute tests and analytical procedures accurately and efficiently per established standard operating procedures - Conduct post-analytical activities including result reporting and technical support - Participate in proficiency testing in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations - Maintain laboratory equipment and records, and perform quality assessment activities - Serve as a preceptor for new employees and students, documenting orientation and training appropriately ### What we're looking for - Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, medical technology, or equivalent coursework from an accredited institution - Completion of an ABHES- or CAAHEP-accredited clinical laboratory training program, or qualifying military medical laboratory training - 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience (preferred) - Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and manage workflow with minimal supervision - Strong technical aptitude in laboratory testing, procedures, and processes relevant to the assigned department - Commitment to corporate compliance, regulatory adherence, and patient information confidentiality ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $26.08–$48.50 (approximately $54,246–$100,880 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states, with the Orlando campus serving as a major tertiary and quaternary care hub. This part-time night position covers two shifts per week, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
