About this role
AdventHealth Heart of Florida is hiring a Consumer Access Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the patient access and registration department at its Davenport, Florida facility.
### What you'll do
- Manage daily operations of the Consumer Access department, including workflow accuracy, scheduling, and coverage.
- Train, evaluate, and mentor team members; coordinate education sessions and performance reviews.
- Monitor labor and budget adherence, including team time and attendance.
- Maintain working relationships with ancillary departments and partner with Talent Acquisition for staffing.
- Ensure new team members are properly oriented to the department at hire.
- Escalate team member issues to senior management and assume independent responsibility for new tasks as delegated.
### What we're looking for
- 3+ years of revenue cycle experience (required).
- Advanced knowledge of insurance benefits and hospital EMR systems.
- Familiarity with CMS, EMTALA, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage diverse teams and personalities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, finance, or healthcare preferred.
- Preferred certifications: CHAA, CHAM, CRCR, or CMA/CFP.
