About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Histocompatibility Laboratory Manager at its Orlando, Florida campus (601 E Rollins Street).
### What you'll do
- Manage department budgeting, metrics, quality initiatives, strategic goals, inventory, and labor productivity
- Lead laboratory performance improvement activities, promoting team building, employee engagement, and patient safety
- Provide orientation and training to new employees and medical technology students, with appropriate documentation
- Ensure staff adherence to corporate compliance and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting body standards (DNV, CLIA, OSHA, AABB, CAP)
- Oversee safe handling, transport, and storage of hazardous waste in compliance with PPE and safety policies
- Direct workflow and maintain equipment, records, and quality assessment activities with minimal supervision
### What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science field (or qualifying equivalency per CLIA standards)
- 5+ years of clinical laboratory experience
- 1+ year of leadership experience in a laboratory setting
- Strong technical knowledge in high-complexity laboratory testing and analytical procedures
- Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards including CLIA, CAP, AABB, DNV, and OSHA
- Ability to coach staff, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively in written and verbal English
### What's included
- Salary range: $72,190 – $134,260 per year
- $10,000 sign-on bonus (eligible candidates)
