About this role

AdventHealth Ottawa is hiring a PRN night-shift Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical unit at its Ottawa, Kansas campus. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors for each patient. - Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and evidence-based standards. - Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and recovery. - Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care across shifts. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification. - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). - Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred). - Proficiency in EKG interpretation per unit requirements. - Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced inpatient environment. ### What's included - Pay range: $32.50–$60.45/hr (approximately $67,600–$125,736 annualized). - PRN schedule with night shifts, offering schedule flexibility. - Access to AdventHealth's broader team-member benefits and wellness programs. ### About the practice AdventHealth Ottawa is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network committed to whole-person care.
