About this role
AdventHealth Tampa is hiring a full-time night-shift RN for its Critical Care ICU Stepdown unit at its Tampa, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on findings and medical diagnoses.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans to optimize outcomes.
- Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care clinical skills.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in real time within the electronic medical record (Cerner/EPIC).
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and mentor nursing staff to maintain high-quality, coordinated care.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license — required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- EKG interpretation knowledge appropriate to the critical care patient population.
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and abstract reasoning skills for complex, high-acuity patients.
- Preferred certifications include FCCS, BEKG, CCNS, CEN, or TNCC; Cerner or EPIC EMR experience preferred.
