About this role

A PRN Registered Dietitian Nutritionist is needed at Texas Health Huguley Medical Center in Burleson, Texas, to deliver medical nutrition therapy and patient education across inpatient units. ### What you'll do - Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, review medical records, and evaluate anthropometric status to identify nutrition risks and malnutrition criteria. - Develop and document nutrition diagnoses and care plans, updating them as patient data evolves. - Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling and education tailored to each patient's health literacy and cultural background. - Perform indirect calorimetry studies and assist with feeding tube placement as needed. - Attend interdisciplinary rounds and meetings on assigned units; serve as the on-unit nutrition resource for clinical staff. - Conduct meal test trays three times per month and support regulatory survey preparation when applicable. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential — required. - Bachelor's degree — required. - Proficiency in the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Nutrition Care Process. - Working knowledge of electronic health record systems. - Strong skills in estimating macro- and micronutrient needs, BMI, and fluid requirements using comparative standards. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to shifting patient care priorities. ### What's included - Pay range: $24.47–$45.50/hr ($50,898–$94,640 annualized equivalent). - PRN day-shift scheduling with flexibility. - Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply based on unit assignment. ### About the practice Texas Health Huguley Medical Center is a faith-based, full-service community hospital located in Burleson, Texas, operating as part of the AdventHealth system.
